It is hard to believe that our show season has come to an end. There are still a few fall fairs and then the Royal Winter Fair in November. Willow Creek Riding Stable Inc. is having a trail ride for Cancer on Saturday, October 8th at their place, 564581 Karn Road, Beachville, Ontario N0J 1A0. It will run from from 11 am until 5 pm. There are 6 hours of scenic trails with a potluck dinner to follow. Prizes & draws. There is a $20.00 registration fee, a minimum of $50.00 donations or you can take pledges. Your $20.00 registration fee goes towards your donation. Come and enjoy a day of riding for a great
cause. In November we start having the year end banquets, ours is Saturday, November 5th at the CAW hall in Ingersoll. Big Creek’s banquet is Saturday, November 19th at the Paris Ag Hall.
YOUTH
The youth are still collecting pop cans as a fundraiser. If you can help them out by saving your pop cans and letting John McHardy (519-537-7179) know you have them, so pick up can be arranged. I am sure they will appreciate it.
FUNDRAISERS
There are still T-shirts ($10.00) small sizes only, and pins ($3.00) available for
sale. Please contact any of the directors if you would like to purchase one for yourself or if you know of anyone interested in purchasing one.
SPONSORSHIPS & DONATIONS
We are looking for sponsors to help keep our club going for the
2011 season. If you know of any business or other person who may be interested in sponsoring the Oxford Trail Riders, please see one of the executive for a sponsor form. We need a sponsorship for 39 classes ($60) and for 6 High Point Awards ($120). We have 30 classes sponsors and 5 high point sponsors at this time. For those of you who would like to either sponsor a class, 1/2 class or make a donation to our operating expenses, we sincerely thank you for helping to keep the Oxford Trail Riders, the club it is today.
SHOW DATES
Oxford Trail Riders – We have finished our show dates until next year. Hope to see you at our banquet on Saturday. November 5th at the CAW Hall in Ingersoll. Tickets are $8.00 and will be available at the door. Little people four and under are FREE. Social hour begins at 5 pm with the pot luck dinner at 6 pm. Awards will be handed out around 7 pm. Don’t forget our silent auction.
Big Creek Saddle Club – Their banquet is on Saturday, November 19th at the Paris Ag. Hall.
G.R.E.A.T. – Their banquet is Saturday November 12th. Straffordville Hall, 5:00pm start, supper around 6:00pm. $15 a person, $40 a family! Potluck salad or desert. We will be having our usual silent auction and draws as well! Hope to see everyone there!

Nelson Bilyea’s horse sale is on Friday, October 14th and Saturday, October 15th at the Ilderton Community Centre.
G.R.E.A.T hosts the First Annual Tack/Garage sale at Eden Hall, Sunday October 23rd. 10 am until 4p.m. Assorted tack, horsey stuff and baked goods! May be some other suprise booths in there too!
