MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEARS
I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, also to thank the sponsors for their financial support of our club and the membership for continuing to come out and make our club what it is. We need you, the membership, to come out to the annual meeting on Sunday, January 8th at 1:30 pm at the Salford Community Centre. This is your opportunity to bring up any concerns you may have about the past year or any ideas you may have about things we could do or changes you would like to see happen. We need more then 15 people to come out to make a quorum so that we can hold elections and pass any changes brought up. I would also like to say that I have enjoyed doing the newsletter, but this is my last letter. It is time for someone else to take on the job. Marg and Max Albright are offering the use of their indoor arena for $10.00 per person. Please call first, 519-485-0418.
YOUTH
The youth are still collecting pop cans as a fundraiser. If you can help them out by saving your pop cans and letting John McHardy (519-537-7179) know you have them, so pick up can be arranged. I am sure they will appreciate it.
FUNDRAISERS
There are still T-shirts ($10.00) small sizes only, and pins ($3.00) available for sale. Please contact any of the directors if you would like to purchase one for yourself or if you know of anyone interested in purchasing one.
SPONSORSHIPS & DONATIONS
We will be looking for sponsors to help keep our club going for the 2012 season. If you know of any business or other person who may be interested in sponsoring the Oxford Trail Riders, please see one of the executive for a sponsor form. We need a sponsorship for 39 classes ($60) and for 6 High Point Awards ($120). For those of you who would like to either sponsor a class, 1/2 class or make a donation to our operating expenses, we sincerely thank you for helping to keep the Oxford Trail Riders, the club it is today.
COMING EVENTS
Oxford Trail Riders annual meeting is on Sunday, January 8th at 1:30 pm at the Salford Hall.
The WHAO Annual Meeting and Awards is at the Brantford Tourism Centre at 1 pm on January 8, 2012.
The Paint Banquet and AGM is on January 22, 2012 from 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm at the Southgate Centre, Woodstock, Ontario. Please note the change in the date.
